"Damon & Naomi with Ghost at Terrastock 4 in Seattle" (2000)

This was cobbled together from 5 or 6 photographs. Musically it was amazing.

"Chums" (1991)

Another Chums, this time it's the Summer and my Father fighting it out on the front porch.

"Chums" (1994)

"Chums" (1991)

This is one of my old "comic strips" that ran in Berkeley paper The Rooster and the Raven, and Seattle paper The Stranger. A selection of them were featured in Pictopia #3 (Fantagraphics)

Part of a series of illustrations I've done for Mats Gustafsson's Broken Face magazine. Here illustrating an interview with great San Francisco band SubArachnoid Space.

"Jim O'Rourke" (1999)

A couple photographs of O'Rourke by Frank Mikus, mixed up and messed with by me.

Con-Girl (1993)

I kept seeing this girl at the San Diego ComicCon, I finally drew her picture. I never did get her name.

Weird Rock Formations (1993)

It was freezing, I had to balance the camera on the hood of the car while my pals Jojo and Scot whined and moaned about how cold it was. But this was beautiful and I just had to try to catch it.

Ugly Music (2000)

An illustration for Pulse magazine. He's about the lobotomize himself with a ball-point pen. It's done in acrylic and ink on acetate

Teenage Spaceship (1998)

A drawing I did for a local 'zine. A sort of self portrait of what I felt like when I was 16.

Bouquet Portrait (1998)

Someone left this extraordinary bouquet of flowers in my mailbox at the radio station where I used to work. I liked it so much I did this pen & ink drawing of it. I never did find out who gave me the flowers.

JOMF illo (2001)

Yet another illustration from The Broken Face.

"Joy & Carl" (1994)

After all, if you can't mess with your sibling's face, what can you mess with?

Six Organs Of Admittance live at Terrastock 4 (2000)

One one the many highpoints of this amazing music festival, was the set by Ben Chasny's band Six Organs Of Admittance.

"Jackie-O Motherfucker illo #1" (2001)

Another illustration for The Broken Face (#11 in this case).

Lake Tahoe Motel (1972)

"Alicia's Family" (2000)

My daughter Alicia holding Christian, her husband Jesse holding Andrew, and Alex smiling at them all.

"Christian Frederick Metzger" (early 1900's)

This is one of two existing photographs of my Grandfather. I sort of met him while working on this image. My Mom gave me a picture so faint it was almost impossible to see, after awhile I started to see this young fellow, (fresh off the boat from Germany) that looked so much as I had when I was his age.

"Joy & Mable" (2001)

Two of the coolest people I've ever known.
